To get good Performance from sludge dewatering machine the sludge has to be conditioned with suitable polyelectrolyte/ flocculant by using  technology of bottom inlet and top outlet it has been found that a slow agitation tank with a residence time up to 3 to 4 minutes is normally sufficient to do a good job of flocculation after the mixing of sludge and polyelectrolyte strong large size flocks will be obtained which are fed to the dewatering machine
